Cameron House is a freestanding residence in Edgecliff, shaped through a lens of quiet detail and thoughtful intention. Engaged to reimagine the home’s bedrooms and bathrooms, the brief centred on elevating a series of previously understated spaces for a client who loves to entertain and surrounds themselves with a highly considered art collection. That collection became the natural starting point for the design, informing tone, palette and material decisions throughout the project.
Working as creative consultant, interior designer and stylist, the approach focused on clarity and restraint. Colour, texture and form were layered with intention, allowing each space to feel composed without feeling overworked. Clean lines sit alongside subtle shifts in tone, while neutral foundations are enriched through tactile finishes that bring depth and quiet sophistication to the interiors.
The powder room was conceived as a deliberate point of contrast. A compact space used as an opportunity for expression, it introduces claret red and viola marble to create a bold, self-contained moment within the spatial narrative. This unexpected gesture punctuates the calmer rhythm of the surrounding rooms with confidence and character.
The result is a home that reads as a lived-in collection. Each space is distinct yet connected, shaped with the same clarity and intention as the artworks that inspired it, and designed to evolve with those who inhabit it.
